| Classe 9 USB Xcelsius on the podium at the Excellence In Design Awards |
| It is with great pleasure and pride that we announce the excellent results achieved by Classe 9 USB XCELSIUS at the 25th edition of the EID awards, organised by the prestigious magazine Appliance Design.
This is a further international award for the Rancilio Group that in 2010 already took part successfully in the famous contest, winning a bronze medal for the technical and stylistic features of the super-automatic EGRO One.
Classe 9 USB Xcelsius was one of the products awarded Silver, thanks to its ability to combine innovation, style and high quality.
The renowned annual contest, which awards those products able to bring together and harmonise aesthetic style with innovative technical performance, saw the participation of international giants in the industry of commercial appliances and automatic vending machines, who engaged in a battle of style and innovation.
Technological, ergonomic, elegant, stylish, or, in a word, classy, Classe 9 USB XCELSIUS is equipped with an extraordinary system allowing the coffee brewing temperature to be set dynamically. This can be increased or reduced by up to 5°C (9°F) for the 25?30 seconds of each individual brewing cycle. This function, called Temperature Profiling, makes it possible to exalt the aromatic qualities of each individual blend to achieve unprecedented results in the cup.
The revolutionary Xcelsius system was developed in collaboration with the Polytechnic of Turin, one of the leading universities in Europe in the field of engineering.
Protected by two international patents, the innovative technology has taken part in tests organised by the WCE association on the occasion of the SCAE WORLD OF COFFEE 2011 in Maastricht.
Classe 9 USB Xcelsius was judged compliant with the test standards laid down by the technical committee of the World Coffee Event, brilliantly passing the various tests.
If we combine innovative technology with extraordinary style, we get a new, absolutely unique product of its kind. Clean lines complement elegant curves, while distinctively designed lights caress the machine body and provide impeccable style.
In addition to design, technology and innovation, the jury that assigned the Excellence in Design Awards took into account another essential aspect: the human factor.
The ergonomics of Classe 9 USB Xcelsius can be seen in the Soft Touch control panel, fitted with ergonomic, functional lights.
